Our Specialized Care service is for families whose children have medical needs, developmental differences, or disabilities that require more than typical babysitting. You are not asking for a favor - you are inviting in a trained professional who respects your child's unique strengths and challenges and understands how to support them safely.

With a background as a Certified Nursing Assistant and training in Human Development and Family Studies, we bring both healthcare awareness and child development knowledge to this work. We partner closely with you to learn diagnoses, medications, mobility needs, sensory preferences, communication methods, and any therapy goals you want reinforced at home. For some families, that means supporting feeding plans or seizure precautions; for others, it may involve following behavior support plans, visual schedules, or assistive technology. Care might include personal care tasks, medication reminders as allowed, positioning and transfers within our scope, and close monitoring for signs that something is not right. At the same time, we center your child's joy and dignity - building in play, learning activities, and quiet connection that match their abilities and interests.

Rates for specialized care typically range from $25 - $45 per hour, with higher rates reflecting advanced training, complexity of care, and medical responsibilities. We always begin with a thorough conversation or intake visit, so you have space to walk us through your child's routines, safety needs, and your priorities for support.

Families using this service often share that they finally feel able to step out - for work, appointments, or rest - without carrying constant fear. You gain a caregiver who sees your whole child, not just their diagnosis, and who approaches your home with respect, cultural sensitivity, and calm confidence.
